Our Story
Our Vision
The Fifth Scent Co. was born from a deeply personal journey.
As a Registered Nurse, I spent years caring for others in the fast-paced and often demanding environment of emergency nursing. While helping others through some of their most difficult moments, I was also navigating my own challenges living with Axial Spondyloarthritis, an autoimmune condition that can leave me experiencing significant pain, fatigue and inflammation.
During periods of flare-ups, one of the few things I consistently found comfort in was a warm bath. It became more than just a routine; it was a moment to slow down, reconnect with myself, and find relief from the physical and emotional demands of everyday life.
Like many healthcare workers, I also experienced the effects of stress and burnout. Through both my emergency nursing and cosmetic nursing careers, I have seen firsthand how stress can impact not only our mental well-being, but also our physical health, skin health, sleep quality and overall quality of life.
This inspired me to create products with intention.
Every ingredient included in our bath soaks has been carefully selected, with each component serving a purpose in creating a luxurious and restorative self-care experience. Combining my passion for wellness with my clinical background, I wanted to create products that encourage people to pause, slow down and prioritise themselves, even if only for a moment.
